So, here's the deal. I think WP Contact Manager is really cool. It was a ton of fun to release and I have been humbled by all the attention it got in the beginning and is still getting (though not as much, of course).
I would love to continue to develop it and make it better, but my focus lies elsewhere at the moment. So I thought instead of letting it die in my hands I would pass it on to someone (or ones) who can take better care of it.
There's still a lot of potential for it to get better and become more useful, and I think someone who's focused on that endeavor could make something really neat. Also, if it could be automated and integrated with WordPress Mu, then you might have something even more interesting.
Who I'm Looking For
I'm first looking for someone who is willing to carry it further, build on it, update it, etc. The exact road map will be left up entirely to the new owner though. Secondly, I'm looking for someone who knows what they're doing and is familiar with advanced WordPress theming.
I'm not looking to be paid any money for it, or receive anything in return. It's essentially being proposed as a one-way transaction: You ask for it, you're qualified to take it, you get it.
However, if more than one qualified person is asking for it I'm going to have to choose between them somehow. So I'll go ahead and say I reserve the right to choose between qualified persons in whatever manner I deem relevant.
What You Get
The new owner will receive:
- The latest version (0.3) in a .zip file
- The tutorial that goes along with it.
- A link on the existing WP Contact Manager page to the new location for an extended period of time.
So I'm Interested...
If you're interested in discussing it more, or if you know it's a project you would definitely like to do, contact me via the contact form (still unstyled, I know!) and we'll go from there.
