Web design is often thought of as a skill. You’re good at web design. You’re learning how to do web design. I think we should take a different approach.
Web design is not a skill; it’s a profession that requires a certain skill set.
What type of skills are required for web design?
- An understanding of typographic principles,
- an ability to synthesize information into visual representation,
- clear communication,
- etc.
